1. Our commitment
We aim to provide an inclusive editorial experience guided by the intent of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of writing, design and maintenance.
Needs and technologies vary, so conformance is not a guarantee that every person will encounter no barrier. We welcome specific feedback and use it to improve.
2. Design and content practices
The site uses semantic headings and landmarks, a skip link, visible keyboard focus, descriptive page titles and text alternatives for meaningful images. Text and controls are designed for clear contrast and comfortable enlargement.
Layouts reflow from small screens to wide screens without requiring a separate mobile site. We avoid meaning conveyed only by colour and provide reduced-motion behaviour for people who request it in their system settings.
3. Compatibility
Core content and navigation are built with standard HTML, CSS and a small progressively enhanced script. Navigation remains available if JavaScript is disabled.
The site is intended to work with current versions of major browsers, keyboard input, browser zoom and commonly used screen readers. Older or highly customised combinations may present differences.
4. Known limitations
Generated editorial photography can contain visual detail that is difficult to capture fully in a short text alternative. We describe the subject and purpose rather than every object in the scene.
External websites reached through links are outside our control. Their accessibility may differ from ours, and we cannot guarantee the availability of content in a particular alternative format.

6. Feedback and review
Accessibility feedback is reviewed alongside editorial and technical maintenance. We prioritise barriers that prevent access to core navigation, contact details or substantive content.
This statement is reviewed when the site changes materially and periodically as standards and user needs develop. The current review date appears at the top of the page.
